This is a gorgeous property in Urtenen-Schoehnbul. Right next to the train station with trains running every 15 or 30 minutes depending on the time of day. It is not handicap accessible, although they do have a very small elevator. Corinne speaks fantastic English, so communicating was no problem. We are not early risers, so never made it to breakfast, but I have no doubt it's terrific. There's a bakery with a restaurant inside it across the street, and a pizzaria across the street as well. The hotel is very clean, very quaint. A wonderful place to stay!

For some time my daughter wanted to take us to eat at this particular local restaurant, the Landgasthof in Schönbühl, so we reserve dinner for three people during the week. At 20:00 we arrive at the Landgasthof and find a convenient parking reserved for customers in the back of the hotel / restaurant. The Landgasthof is a traditional restaurant with many Swiss and Bernese specialties, which is why we chose it. Inside there are very elegant, warm and old-fashioned rooms, to think that it was built in the distant 1844-1846. For those interested in relaxing at the Schönbühl thermal baths, they also offer a package with dinner in combination. As an entrance I ordered half a portion of vegan gnocchi with olives and cherry tomatoes, a real treat, I would have eaten a whole portion. As main courses we ordered Casimir chicken sliced and served in a steamed rice ring with curry sauce and fresh fruit as a garnish, breaded veal escalope with fries and sliced beef and veal with paprika and onion sauce, served with potatoes and steamed vegetables. For dessert, a "Kerstin’s hausgemachter warmer Brownie" (hot homemade brownie), a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a Coupe Dänemark, all presented very well and yet we were not disappointed here, delicious. It was a fantastic dinner, all truly exceptional, fine cuisine, friendliness, excellent service and dish. High prices, but in the standard for the quality of the food consumed. A visit to taste their specialties is highly recommended. We will be back again hopefully to sample other Swiss and Bernese specialty dishes.

We went to Wild Essen as a group of 12 on Saturday night. Despite a full house, everything went quickly, the food was great and the staff was always friendly despite the stress. Value for money. Gladly again!

Went there for dinner, very attentive and friendly service. Good menu for vegetarians too. Fine eaten. The only tiny negative point on the delicious summer risotto was no cream burrata as stated on the menu (I think more Taleggio?). Price a bit higher, but willing to pay a little more for good food and service. Parking in front of the house. It's worth making a reservation. Also possible directly via the website.
