Gasthof Alpenblick Ferenberg b. Stettlen

Very German aesthetic which is to be expected of this part of Switzerland. People inside were friendly and spoke both German and French. I recommend the evening and to be sat outside. There's something about cow bells inconsistently ringing quietly in the distance that sets you at ease.

A long and beautiful route from Statlen to the highest altitude. Passing through beautiful fields and trees and breathing fresh air. Excellent views of the Alps as well as the city of Bern and the surrounding area. Drink a cup of tea and a piece of cake.  Happy hours in beautiful nature. A moment of contemplation on creation and its creator. Wow! That's amazing!

View is breathtaking, but that pretty much sums up the nice things. Wifi is crappy and tends to not work for prolonged periods, bathrooms are shared and super basic, floor is creeky, bed is meh. Food was okayish in the morning and from what I could taste not that much better in the evening. Everything tasted a bit stale / heated up, I guess you can't expect much more of they don't have that much customers.

It was good, but not very good this time. The jambalaya dish wasn't properly seasoned, something was missing, it was just spicy. The chestnuts on the game dishes were still hard, the Brussels sprouts too soft. Too bad this time it just wasn't the same. The peppermint and black tea had no taste.
